A date with Destiny?
I would like to know other people's comments on this blog, I am wondering if people have had thoughts the same.
In today's society, we are taught from a young age to "do as we are told", we are raised with the ideal of what society wants and expects from us, to stay in school, to find a job, to vote, to pay money out to the never ending line of government taxes and service industries for which we rely on and with the hope that they will in turn look after us, to buy, buy, buy.
Unfortunately, society today is breeding more violence, more anger in the youth of today and more deaths due to it. When and how is this spiral downwards going to be reduced? When I was younger we never locked the doors, never stayed at home inside playing video games and where always outside playing and making up our own fun until my mother had to yell at us that it was getting dark and your dinner was getting cold. There was trust and honesty and a will to make things happen for yourself and others. There was pride. Life was sweet and more flowers bloomed.
I believe that the problem of today's social issues lies with our spiritualism or lack there of. The more we are told to conform, the more I feel we are being institutionalised by the powers that be. We are no longer being who we really are, we are becoming someone that somebody else tells us to be (Surface Dwelling). Parent to child exempted when it comes to life lessons.
Don't get me wrong, I am a strong believer in staying at school and learning as much as you can, with all the resources at your fingertips, one would be a fool if you didn't, but I think that people are starting to resent being dictated to by what they think is good for us. We are stuck in a cycle of spending money, of paying out to people or services that we don't necessarily need to get on in this world.
The more we are controlled, the more we lose a sense of who we are and what our path in life should be. We believe we are doing what we want to, but are we? Or are we just doing what everyone expects us to do and to suit who's purpose? Long ago I did the "Stepford wife" life. I cooked and cleaned and went to work to make money to buy things for the house. This is great if it is what you truly want to do, but after a while I lost who I really was and started to question everything.
Today people are angry about something, is it because they cannot be who they want to be? Is it because they have not been given the opportunity to think for themselves? We are an intelligent race on Mother Earth but we have lost our way to truly see the path we should be taking.
We are told Witchcraft is bad... by who and why, a King, a ruler? Funny that it had flourished thousands of years ago but is considered by most as taboo today. Millions of witches were burnt at the stake or murdered in some other appalling way in less than 300 years simply because they lived and believed in a different world. Free thought seems to be dying out but I believe it will be our saviour.
Life is for living not existing.

A loss of respect for life and the feelings of others around us, as well as just plain out not seeing that our actions have consequences is indoctrinated at earlier ages than at any other point in history. We do lip service to respecting other people, but... popular music and video games, television, and even our friend here The internet sever our connections and set us apart from one another.
We have lost sight that we are all connected at the most basic of levels. It sounds funny but... George Lucas had one thing very right in his "Star Wars" saga. The Force. That energetic level that connects all of life, and can be sensed and used to shape more than this world.
We can choose. We can choose to be different, to make a difference, to be connected, and to cause that connection to be contageous.
Did any of this make sense?

April: This is very true also and makes perfect sense. People just dont care anymore about anybody or possibly anything. Its almost like some people have no souls. Because they cant make that connection. They wont. They are greedy, selfish people..... corrupted by the dark side. LOL. I also agree with your reference to Star Wars because although it may have been fiction it is very true indeed. We ARE all connected. When you get right down to it we are all the same. We all come from the same background. We are all people. We all have, or start out with, the same value or self worth as any other human being. Most people cant see this, they wont see this. They believe some people are better than others. That some dont deserve freedom or equal rights. But like I told Kindred I believe a revolution is coming and everything will change.
I hope I stuck to the topic mostly. LOL.

ZACH: You are right in your way of thinking, To see the future we must also learn from the past and correct the errors along the way for the two are one. I have an extremely strong drawing to the Medieval times of Europe, sometimes I feel I am still there, I know I have lived in this era in a past life or two, cause I have a fear of Fire and drowning which is uncanny. I feel that it was because of this time that I cannot heal from the phobias. I was probably burnt at the stake in one life then drowned for being a witch in another. What people have to do is to think for themselves when searching what path to take, you will know because it will FEEL right to you. We have much more that 5 senses, our sixth was lost as we did not require it in this world, who knows how many others we have and have not tapped into. When in touch with the forces it's a pure energy that is hard to explain. It's like standing near(100M) a lightning bolt and feeling the buzz of energy coming up through the ground (happened to my father and I on his country property). I for one hope the whole world can find the connection with this world.

We are all connected to a force. We believed in the force of light, which clearly was our life force. What if the force had changed. By recent events on every level of existence, is it possible to assume that the force of darkness had conquered earth? Could this be the explanation for a downfall of all societies earthwide?
What are your thoughts on the matter.

This is the prevailing attitude and it is what they mean when they talk about "Christian Family values". This thought process and philosophy serves to divide and conquer.
There is nothing in the "dark" that is so big and scary that you can't overcome it. There is no ultimate "evil" no boogy man. The only thing in the dark is the thing you don't want to look at for whatever reason. But it is the fear of the dark that keeps us running in circles, waiting for the sky to fall. Too scared and to busy trying to protect what we have or getting what we want to think about what we need and how things really are.
Step outside the boxes that have been constructed for you. You will find a brave new universe that is ready and waiting for you to join in the dance of the elements and the song of the stars.
