This post is not about spells in the form of formal instruction.  Each type of learning has its own form of casting.  What this is for is the basic idea of a spell.

The word spell was used originally to mean spelling a word in ruinic characters.  The word spell means to write in a particular language.  These words were meant to convey,  from the caster of the spell, the intentions of the person writing that particular word.  If I were to write the word air it might mean something to breathe or it might just mean a hurricane force wind or anything in between.  It all depends upon my intentions at the time of writing the word. 

When people years ago could not read nor write well anyone who could was called a wizard.  Times changed and so did the abilities of the average person.  The average spell caster also changed but retained the original word.  The word Spell was changed in meaning to mean a complete ritual.  Thus a love spell was actually a ritual designed to make a person love someone else.  Not the word spelled out in ruinic characters.  Nor do I use these spells lightly.

Now today's spell casters usually do not use ruinic characters much nor do they use the phonic words as much.  Phonic words are sounds that make up the complete word and not the spelling of the word itself.  Most use the ritual to make the spell not realizing that the ritual is focusing the intent of the caster.  Much in the same way the spelling of the ruinic character focused the intent of the caster writing the word or speaking a phonic word can focus the intent of the caster.

 Currently I have knowledge of some 100 different types of forms of spell casting but they all seem to lead back to the origins of the word spell.  If I spell something out in ruinic characters then I am creating a spell.  It is my intention while doing so to make that spell so therefore I have created a spell.  When I write something down on paper I am also spelling but in a differnt way.  My intention is to point out that not all things are what they appear.   Rather they contain a variety of points that need to be checked out below the surface of the paper.  Remember a spell is just that.

Air can be spelled A I R; AE IR; HEIR.  Love can be spelled L O V E; L U V.  You can come up with other spellings of the particular words used.  But what is the intent of the caster? What do you as a caster, one who throws, want to happen?  If you are not focused then what you desire or want to happen will not happen in the manner you desire.  Thus the spell created will either fail or fall short of what you desire.  Focus on what the spell is and what your intent for the spell is.  Then You will recieve your intention.
