I have read many different ideals lately. The one thing that I see that seems to be different, depending upon who you are speaking to, is that one says you must use your full birth name. Others say First name, some say first and last. For people who have been adopted, the name they were born with is not what is on their birth cert. One example I came across lately was a man who was adopted at 1 month of age. He has no idea what his name would have been at birth, only that which his adoptive parents gave him. Another was a girl who's mother remarried when she was very young and the step father adopted her and they had her birth certificate changed to his name.
