Re:Hello 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: -2
This is far out of my "expertise" (not couse I have one)so I won't say anything couse I can make it harder than it is.

But I can say however that when we talk about mental strenght, we cant compare to eachother. Some actually become tottaly exousted over spilled milk. That can destroy there day. And other never becomes it. The point is that I may be far more "mentally tired" over a missed buss than a nother over a dead freind. And then it is me who needs help and care, not the one that isn't tuched.

Thats a common fail I see often in people (yes I sees it as a failure in there personallity) if the person isn't tuched it isn't anything to feel sorry over. But the person with spilled milk is somthing to feel sorry about cous that person abiuslly has a hard time taking it.

Well this was sort of relevant with some things I read here. But I think its also a valueble thing to thinkabout next time someone sems troubled.

Forgive me. I'm going to throw my 2 cents in and you are welcome to believe that I'm full of it.

You are surviving a terrible series of events.

You've been handed an interesting opportunity.

You have been stripped, physically, mentally and emotionally of so much. Some of it was baggage - even welcome baggage - seemingly necessary baggage. What would happen if you really let it go? Let go of the possessions that were burned or broken. Let go of the people who are no longer a part of this life (I'm not saying forget or stop loving them). Would bankruptcy set you free from the financial burdens?

Even if you never wanted to start over, what would you choose do? Who would you choose to be? Where would you chose to go?

Just a thought.

Hi,

You have struck a chord with your post because I do have a difficult time letting go. I have never been able to let go of my husband's death or my own personal trauma. I feel as though my life has been one big punishment and I don't know what for. I often wonder why and how I am still here. I don't feel like I belong on this earth and I never did. You ask where I would be if I let go. I honestly don't know. I don't believe that bankruptcy would solve my problems. It seems that I've hit rock bottom so many times before only to claw my way up and then fall again. If I could choose I would choose the only thing I've ever wanted - a house in the country with acres of land, far away from people where I could just live the rest of my life in peace. That's all I've ever wanted. It seems to be such a simple desire but one that's always out of my reach.

Not Named has a GREAT point.

Learning to let go is hard, but it is completely worth it.
When you learn to let go of the important things ( old hurts and injuries, possessions and people) then letting go of the unimportant is much easier. It makes life so much more stressless.

Try this.....

Re:Hello 2 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 1
Punishment for people is a lot like punishment for dogs; if it doesn't happen right when the transgression occurs, we are left wondering what the hell happened.

No one should be punished for existing (I tell my older son this about his brother all the time). When we know we've made a mistake, we fix it. When we don't know, we can't fix anything. I try to remind myself of this fact when I feel that I've been hurt and no one notices. If I don't tell anyone, they can't "fix" it.

You have a great goal in mind. When you do finally reach it, you will have worked so hard for it that the reward will be immense. Can your bank recommend a financial adviser to help you get there? What will be your livelihood? On-line medical transcriptions or selling crafts at fairs? You have something to offer the world, how will you reach them.

You can see your goal. Now you need to create your path. When you let go of the debris in the way, it will become more clear. The smaller the steps, the easier they are to take. Okay, now I'm sounding like a cliche or two.

You have a lot of work ahead of you. Let us know how we can help.

Ok so how did I miss the "punishment" part of that message??
(just another redhead moment )

I do not believe in "punishment" in the sense that you are speaking about. I know that we set tasks and trials for ourselves before we come back to this plane of existance. We know what is needed to make ourselves grow and advance to the next level. Anything we view as "punishment" is completely self inflicted. The "self" here being that something more that inhabits all of these material bodies.

The concept of cosmic punishment is another one of those negative thought forms that feed into the psychology of fear, and hold us back from living completely full and whole lives.

You can and are completely able to do whatever you choose to do. You can overcome any perceived obstacle, you can get through whatever is going on at any given moment. You just have to choose to. You have to decide if what you want is worth it, and then move forward towards that goal. It may mean eating your pride and stripping yourself of your ego first. But it is possible.
