I was just thinking..... How about thrying to grow the herbs in containers? That is pretty fool-proof with ood potting soil and water.

That's a great idea and I have tried it. Because of my house not getting direct sunlight through the windows I bought lights that simulate sunlight to try and grow them. The guys at Home Depot told me I could use basic soil and just plant the seeds and water. I'm thinking (actually hoping) there is more to it than that.

heroheidR gave me a suggestion for a book to try called the Garden at Dragons Gate and I'm going to take your suggestion for the container plants. I'll try again in the Spring, which is another thing maybe I'm starting this garden too late in Spring. I usually don't get to until about the end of April beginning of May.

This is such a great opportunity to do some grounding projects with my daughter. However, I found this great book on teaching children Wicca called "The Circle Round" by Starhawk.

I'm kind of wondering where this information came from. It's the second time I've seen this kind of information posted here and it's... Well, wrong. I truely hope that no one will try to take aloe vera to "cure" diabetes. As a matter of fact, here's a piece of advise that I would hope no one ignores.

If you are having an issue with something, GO TO THE DOCTOR! Get a preliminary diagnosis. Speak with them about treatment options. If you decide to try to help the issue with herbal medications ( yes, this is MEDICINE)Then I would hope that you would speak with a Naturopath, or a Homeopath before just running off and taking something because someone else said it would "cure" the issue.

I'm just asking that people be responsible. Some of the herbs we talk about using here are poisonous. They can be used to help with health issues, but it is with great caution and careful titration.
