I created several variations of Kyphi from several sources. I'm trying to figure out which I like the best.
Any one have experience with different receipes for this?
Also I had a heck of a time finding "cypress" and eventually had to substitute. Anyone have experience with that? What the smell is like, etc?

I tried once but I don't think I had anything close to the real recipe.
Cypress is another type of evergreen tree, or at least it is here in the south. It grows in swampy areas and has, well it's it's own smell but it's not unlike pine, juniper and cedar. Cypress trees are also grown as ornamentals down here. Lelands cypress is the most common.

Unfortunately there aren't too many cypress trees in New England. I had a hard time even finding some online, which surprised me though.

You should be able to find cypress resin or even cypress oil. Even if it's online
I know that Aura Cacia makes one, but if I remember correctly it was a tad pricey.
Check out some of the healthfood stores around you. (I have to travel about 45 minutes to get to my closest one) They may carry the oil if nothing else.
