I did my first full moon esbat, and i think i did okay. I could feel that it worked. Im just wondering what the best way to cast a circle is. I walked the circle and pointed my finger to the altar. It said to use a wand with a clear quarts at the end but in some cases i just held a pointed clear quarts, can that do the same affect?

Yes.
Tools are props, used to get the mind both conscious and subconscious to a certain set so that disbelief is dropped.
When I was first learning my teachers wouldn't let us used anything to set up the circle or to work a ritual. They wanted us to get that all the tools a witch needs she already has.
There is no real "right or wrong" way to do anyhting. There is what works for you.

MAYBE SOMEBODY CAN WRITE SOMETHING ABOUT METAPHYSICS AS IT HAS A LOT OF INFLUENCES IN MAGICK.
