Good point.

I'm just getting started with astral travel, but one thing which might help is taking 10 minutes every day to state to yourself that you will not be harmed during astral travel.

The subconscious mind is in my experience very powerful, and it only takes simple statements like those to get your subconscious to work in your favour.

I do know that you should try to keep a high vibration when you go to astral, that should help to keep some of the more "scary" things away. At least untill you learn how to deal with them.

Thanks for the feed back!..I understand the subliminal physics but not sure how to go about "HIGHER VIBRATIONS" could crystals be used in this process??? The Ocult path is new to me, thou somethings I've been doing all along and did'nt realize it. I also understand that this path can be dangerous and enlightening, which is why I try to be very cautious!!! Yep you can use crystals, use stones for lots of things and many reasons. Some say that you need to move the energies of your body from the lower chakra points to the higher ones and take off from there. I've alway found that, like with most other things, intention is all.

As to the "inception".... Let me be very clear... That is a movie, and while I have heard legends I have yet to meet anyone who can do such a thing. Also it's not normally called "incepting" or anyhting like it. In shamanic circles it's called dream walking. Those that I have met who can walk like I can don't have any control over where they go or what happens while they are there. Some don't even know that they have gone walking untill someone tells them about it. (That's me, absolutely no memory of these events at all but lots of people asking me what I'm doing in their dreams.)

For the other "darker" self.... Well that could have any number of answers. My best guess.... It was you.
Next time don't freak out and leave. Sit down and ask a couple of questions and listen to the answers. Start keeping a journal of these meditations, that kind of thing.

Most importantly with all of this.... DON"T BE AFRAID. Be respectful, curious, open, and grounded, but never afraid.

Thank you! for shedding light on the subject!!! being raised in a christian environment such subjects were taboo... no disrespect but I used the word INCEPT {to put inside/ingest} the movie INCEPTION {the beginning of something} two different meanings, But I tell you this guy was capable and in control of where he went useing some sort of <astral portal>...I dont get much time for my studies, I work 10 hours a day 5 days a week and rasing my children dont leave much time to myself...so once again thanks!!!!!! ok, I wasn't even going to get into this because I don't know nothing about it, can't do it (or so I thought)but April said something which got my interest....

April said that most folks don't even know that they Astral Travel, they most likely don't have a memory of it and the way they notice it is that somebody else tell them. So, my question is this.....if somebody comes up to me and tells me I was in their dream, is that considered Astral travel? If so, it would put a new perspective on the whole thing.
