Does anyone by chance watch MonsterQuest? We were watching it one night and they had these creatures called Rods...things that sort of fly through the air...they were pretty interesting...one guy said, they may be the only known thing to be able to travel in and out of the 4th dimension. {scientifically speaking anyway *G*}

Well I don't think you can say that they are vampires because with them they are normal people during day time you won't even know that they are aswang (from what I heard) and its not only blood they take, organs and intestines also. My grandmother told me that her grandfather used to do battle with those kind of beings since he was like the "barrio" medicineman and he has "agimat". You see these aswang as I already pointed out have supernatural powers. Romana, I remember you talking about a skinwalker who remembers bits of their past life, I saw one movie casting a skinwalker as a being with dark powers who can shapeshift. Its about native american folklore I think.

Time travel has been a thing that many have tried and only very few have actually accomplished. If something naturally could travel the time dimension most would attempt to capture it in either it's past or future. Monsters are only things that are misunderstood not understood. Calling something a Monster is labeling it into the darkness.

Cain's children would not be so bold as to make themselves available to be filmed. If they are still out there they are hiding in areas that are hard to get to much less film equipment. They would not make themselves available to be ridiculed on film or T.V.

Skinwalkers are a different being entirely from Vampires. A skin walker changes their outer skin to become similar to what they are wearing at the time. The problem with Skinwalkers is not that they don't remember who they are but that they are filled with the memories of what they are wearing at the time. They don't shape shift per say but become what they are wearing.

Shapeshifters of American folklore are beings who can literally change their own body into that of another being. The form could be a wolf or a bat or a bird. They still retain their original memories and sense abilities of the original form. If human then human thoughts control the new form. If animal then the animal thoughts control the new form.

I believe that the difference between an aswang and a skin walker is that an aswang has the complete thoughts of a human even in animal or another person's form. And they are believed to be on the dark side because they have the need to feed on human blood and organs to survive and retain their supernatural powers. They usually take the form of a dog, a big bird, a cat, a pig, etc.

There is also one kind of creature in the Philippines which we call a "manananggal". These creatures are said to have bat-like wings and leave half of its body on the ground. Only the upper part is usually seen when it is on flight. Like the aswang it also feeds on human blood and organs.

A SKIN WALKER IS A PERSON WHO REMEMBERS THEIR PAST LIFES. IT IS SO SAID BY NATIVE AMERICANS. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SHAPESHIFTERS. SHAPESHIFTERS ARE MAINLY WITCHES WHO CAN ASSUME A DIFFERENT SHAPE. THAT EVEN WAS KNOWN BY THE NORDIC TRIBES IN EUROPE IN THE DARK AGES. AS FAR AS I KNOW THEY ARE ALSO FOUND IN HOODOO.[WISHED I KNOW HOW TO DO IT]SHAPESHIFTERS ARE ALSO REPORTED BY NATIVE AMERICANS WHICH CALLED THEM WITCHES, TOO. THOSE CREATURES IN THE PHILLIPPINES I HAVE NO CLUE.
