It hasn't hit us too bad. This morning the trees are all ice covered but the roads are good, just a little damp.

However I do need to go to the store today for milk and coffee. We can live without eggs and bread but the coffee is essential.

Oh, we don't need to worry about propane either... we have two bottles we bought earlier this year to power our GBB Desert Eagles. It's been too cold to use them cause the mags keep freezing. No shooty play time! Wait!!! We could go out and use the M4's though.... Yea!!!!! Shooty playtime back on!!

Yeah, it could have been worse for you....at least the electricity is still on.
For those who don't know how things work in the southern U.S., either our heating sstems are total electric or natural/propane gas and electric. So, if the electric wires are popping from the ice...we are screwed.
We just got a LOT of rain and wind last night.

They closed I40 from the New Mexico to the Oklahoma line i have never seen this happen before.
We have some of the older Deerborn heaters that run off of natural gas or propane and i have my camping heaters and stoves, if we loose power i have propane lanters and sleeping bags, nothing like getting caught un-prepared to make you get ready for the next time, stay warm everone but most of all stay smart dont freeze out there, Allen.

Most definitely will try to. I'm not so worried about today and tomorrow, but Monday is a completely different story. I have got to go check on my little old men monday, and the closest one is 15 minutes away. The furthest is over an hour away in the upstate. I hope this cold snap is done by then.

Oh! I meant to tell you too... That is just a bit far south to be closing a highway. They used to close I-70 all the time, from parts of Eastern Colorado all the way through Kansas. Stay inside, Allen. You should be fine there.

Ditto from me....You all be careful out there! I always can send you all some MREs. They would stop you all up for a while But seriously, just in case....be prepared!

Well an MRE would last me a while. Just a bite or two of that dried stuff and I would be SO full I might pop.

We've started with a few flurries here but so far nothing is sticking. With a little luck the wind will dry out the roads by Monday.

So for all affected by this storm... Stay inside if at all possible, stay warm and dry, and don't take the 90 lb silly talking puppy out no matter how much he fibs. He doesn't need to go pee he just wants to run through the woods and then drag his wet butt on the bed. While you run around outside calling his silly butt and freezing your ears off.
