I am unclear as to what the problem is either, however I have a very real concern. Anyone that is new to magic should not even think of "dabbling" in the dark arts. Anyone who doubts its danger doesn't believe in its power. One of the biggest risks in walking down that path is that you can end up being drawn farther down then you ever intended to go. One day you find that what you thought was wrong a year ago, is suddenly not so wrong.

Less than a month ago Vera posted this.....

"I am very new to all magic myself, healing however I have come across. At the moment I have hurting hands. I just pray for angelic help and receive it. My hurting hands vanish as if by magic. It seems, if you pray to the Angel and ask for healing, you receive it.

But in a recent post in this thread she implies that she is capable of the dark arts but says not unless you hurt her first. I doubt that Vera is praying to the angel of darkness and given other previous posts, would seem that is more wiccan than any of the rest of us posting is in this thread, it safe to conclude that she is either a troll (and I dont think that she is) or she is on the defense because I stated a fact of my life and for some reason she views that as a threat.

I am going to discontinue posting to this thread because I don't think that Vera will fare well in the dark arts and I would hate to see her pushed there because she feels threatened. Not a good reason to start playing with fire in my opinion.

We all have to start somewhere.

I've known several wonderful, and powerful witches who started out in the "darker" realms. They didn't stay there and it seems to me,lppking from the outside in, that their personal growth was accelerated because they had to start coming to some conclusions and they had to take a very close look at themselves. On the other hand I know Wiccans who still, after decades of practice, have made no advancement to finding out who and what they are and they have made no progress in the betterment of themselves or their spirit. They refuse to even look into the darkness within, and they wonder why their lives are falling apart. They mouth platitudes about being in the light and bettering the world because they won't have anything to do with the dark, yet... They are the most self centered and the first to take offense at perceived slights.

I would rather push a new child over the edge so that they can start on the first rule "know thyself", rather than to leave them running from the shadows of themselves. The only monsters in the dark are ourselves and the sooner we understand this the better off we are.

So I will keep challenging, and pushing. There are some hard questions here that need to be answered.
