MAGICK IS ENERGY. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

ENGERGY IS NEITHER GOOD NOR BAD THROUGH IT IS NEITHER POSITIVELY, NEGATIVELY, OR NEUTRALLY CHARGED. MOST PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT POSITIVE POLARITY IS GOOD AND NEGATIVE POLARITY IS BAD. THAT IS NOT SO AND FOR THAT REASON WITCHCRAFT AND MAGICK IN THEMSELVES CANNOT BE BLACK OR WHITE.
THE ONLY OUTCOME OF RESULTS IN MAGICK IS THE INTENTION OF THE CASTER. IF IT IS A "GOOD" SPELL WHERE THE CASTER TRIES TO HELP SOMEBODY IT IS COMMONLY CALLED WHITE MAGICK. IF THE CASTER INTENDS TO HARM SOMEBODY THEN IT IS REFERRED TO AS BLACK MAGICK. BUT.... AND HERE IS THE KICKER, IN BETWEEN THESE TWO FORMS OF THE CRAFT LIES THE LARGEST AND MOST COMMON FORM OF MAGICK.THAT IS CALLED GRAY MAGICK. THIS IS THE MAGICK WHEN A CASTER INTENDS TO HELP ONE PERSON AT THE EXPENSE OR HARM OF ANOTHER.
THESE ARE ONLY A FEW EXAMPLES AND PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT MAGICK IS NOT A PRECISE SCIENCE AND THE ENDRESULTS ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE CRAFTER.

I would agree totally about what is said above however we must not forget here about what is perceived by people generally as black magick i.e. Devil worship and child sacrefice etc as portrayed by the movie industry and the general churches, which people beleive to be fact the unenlightened ha.

I DON'T THINK THAT YOU CAN COMPARE BLACK MAGIC TO DEVIL WORSHIP OR ANY KIND OF SACRIFICE.
YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT RELIGION NOT MAGICK. IN MY OPINION THESE ARE COMPLETLY DIFFERENT.
I DO APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENT THOUGH AND WE MIGHT CAN START A NEW THREAD ON THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AND MAGICK.

I don't care much for labels but the human race seems to find them necessary. When I am writing, I address the labels by the standard. White Witchcraft, Black Magic, Gray area etc.

The biggest problem with witchcraft labels is that White implies that it is okay and good and beneficial. Black implies that it is bad, wrong and controlling.

Gray implies that it could be either, but more so black then white.

Either way, it is all about right and wrong and who determines this? The Bible? The Law? Your parents? Your conscience? And what is wrong for one person, or one state or one country, may be okay in another. So the labels are off either way.

I probably work far more in what most call black, then I do in white. But my societies norm, all magic is wrong so it comes down to who you think decides if what you are doing is right, wrong, black, white or gray.

YOU ARE RIGHT, SCARLETTE, AND THE ONLY REASON I POSTED THIS WAS BECAUSE MOST CRAFTERS WORK IN THE SO CALLED GRAY AREAS. MOST WILL NOT ATTMIT TO THAT BUT THEY STILL PRACTISE IT. Earth is rules by 2 forces, one is called love the other hate. Both forces are part and parcel of this earth and are necessary for the good health of each person. Everyone has the duty to balance the forces from within the self. Balance achieved is called godly.

The better each individual is balanced the easier life comes to be. Suddenly it does not matter anymore which path you follow, be it magic or religious. You will be seen as just a pleasant person, and man is drawn to pleasant people.

However, I will agree on one thing, it does not pay to state your religious beliefs if you vary from the masses. Prejudism and ignorance can destroy even the best balanced person.

The difference between black and white magic lies in the entity you call upon to help you achieve your aim. Black magic calls upon the Devil and his armies, white magic calls upon God, his angels and their legions.

Those we have here two clear divisions, devil magic on the one hand, and god magic on the other.

Black and white magic run into each other more often than not, which creates a grey mass to which most of us belong, with the exception of the masters of magic, which have achieved either the hights of heaven or depth of hell. Both are truthful masters of the art. The rest of us are just apprentices.

We all determine our own destiny. We either choose the path of light or darkness, but most of us remain within the grey masses to return to earth times and over again until our fate is finally decided.
