well as witches we know of the polarity of the energy we call magic so rom you might be right after all look at the affects of a high EMF ( elecrto magnetic field)

the energy signature given off by a high EMF. can cause paranoia, hallucination , illness ect so maby some people can be influenced by what we would call negative energy

yeah, I agree with Scarlette here. And there are a couple of reasons that I maintain that "evil" is internaly driven.

High EMF areas and other external energetic forces are just that energetic forces. We have already decided that energy like magic is neither good or bad, it just is. What you do with it is what makes it good or bad.
So that logic leaves us with "you". We make decisions on a daily or momentary basis. We choose what to do, how to think and what to feel. (unless we are listening to our instincts, whole different ball game there and another disscussion altogether) We don't have to get frustrated with the jerk that just cut us off, and then throw a curse at him. We do it but... We don't have to be angry at the person who just stole our groceries for the week, who knows maybe he needed them more than we did. Not like we wouldn't have shared if he asked but he didn't know that. And those other people? well they aren't off the hook either. They made choices that negatively impacted other peoples lives.

Besides... If God ( or the Gods) can't make us do anything, what makes us think the Devil can? Influence wheedle or cajole, it still doesn't matter. We decide.

MAYBE SO, BUT IF THERE ARE GOOD SPIRITS AND EVIL SPIRITS THEN WHY CAN'T WE BE INFLUENCED BY THEM IN ONE WAY OR THE OTHER? IF YOU BELIEVE IN A BALANCE IN THE UNIVERSE THEN THERE HAS TO BE OPPOSITES. I GUESS WE CAN DEBATE THIS 'TIL THE COWS COME HOME AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE ANY POSITIVE PROOF ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. KEEPS A GOOD DISCUSSION GOING.

I suppose that I don't believe in "good or evil" spirits, just spirits. I think that they may not always see things from a human perspective and that is when we deffine them as "evil", but that is our perception. We may be influenced but we still have the power to choose what to do.

But You are right in that we can debate this till the cows come home and still not have an answer that satisfies everyone. Just part of being human I suppose

YES, IT IS HOW WE SEE IT WHICH MAKES IT GOOD OR EVIL. THE SPIRITS CARE LESS. THEY JUST DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO. I ALSO AGREE THAT WE AS HUMANS HAVE THE FINAL CHOICE TO MAKE. GOOD, EVIL, OR A BALANCE OF BOTH.
