I think alot would have to do with the belief of the patient. That is only my .2 cents because I had an experience that was quite amazing that involved the laying of hands but the healing was believed as much by the patient as the healer which has much to do with it, again mind over matter.

Most who naturaly have this ability are drawn to the medical field in some shape or form.

There are several healing arts that have only to do with the "laying on of hands". Massage, touch therapy, reflexology, and reki are just a few. There are also many healthcare workers that just seem to know how to "make it feel better" and there are a lot of them that are empathic.

These abilities can cause the healthcare worker to "burn out" because the pain and suffering they are assaulted with every day becomes too much to bear, and there are few who are interested in healing the healers.

Most masseuse and reflexologists I know told me that at the end of the day they feel like all the aches and pains of their patients were transferred to them. So this figures the emphatic pain they get. I had one friend who gave me a massage because I had an indigestion and no tums or maalox can help me . After the massage I gave one big burp and it was gone. But she on the other hand had gas pains till the next day.

NEXT TIME TRY A LITTLE BAKING SODA IN SOME WATER AND DRINK THAT. THAT SHOULD HELP. WE DON'T WANT YOU TO EXPLODE!
