Either because you are holding on to emotions that you need to let go ( anger, disappointment, sorrow the like) Or because you are taking on the illnesses of those you are helping.

Disease is Dis-ease. Most physical problems are manifestations of deeper internal issues, and then again you may not have a tumor under your knee. It could be fluid or some lose cartilage.

I have found ( in recent studies) that things like cancers and many other diseases have thier roots firmly in immune disfunction. ( they are auto-immune in origin)So what in our lives effects our immune systems? Stress, poor diet, Not enough sleep, generaly not taking care of ourselves and holing on to to many stressing emotions. It doesn't matter how good a healer you are or what powers you may have. If you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of anyone.

Well from what I know, there are spiritual healers and they heal by using the form 'Reiki'. To put it into simple words, Reiki is just a method extracing energy through the palms of your hands.

I keep noticing that there is some misunderstanding or miscommunication about what Reki is and how one becomes a practitioner.

Reki is an energy based healing system thought to be the same method of healing use by "Jesus".

The thought process is this... The universe is full of energy that can be used and instructed if one knows how to tap into it. The user can, with the laying on of hands or by holding the hands in close proximity to the body, direct this energy they have tapped into and it will heal whoever needs healing. The energy it's self will direct the healer where to place her hands and for how long.

The way that you become a Reki practitioner is by having "attunements". The student will pay for the attunement and then practice at that level for a period of time under the watch of a "master". Once a level is mastered than the next attunement is purchased and practiced untill one gains the "master level attunement. Once you have gained "master" level then you are said to be a reki practitioner. Any one without this attunement is just an energy worker.

Funny though... I've known energy workers who were much more effective than some Reki masters.

I'm currently reading a book about exploring the powers of the mind and it seems that mind over matter is so very true in terms of our body and health andsomeother things as well!
