If you are just beginning, I would recommend Silver Ravenwolf's trilogy. They are: "To ride a silver broomstick" "To stir a magic cauldron" and "To light a sacred flame" . Now, before anyone blasts me for saying that (many cast her work off as fluff) I feel that it's an easy to read beginner book that gives you enough information to pick up on your own path...some find it difficult to immediately get bogged down in the technical text. I used those books, along with "The book of shadows for the solitary witch" to provide a basic foundation that I built upon. It provided an easy to understand overview that allowed me to branch off into my own thought and path...and I enjoy her sense of humor.
