i just figured out that i have something, but not sure what it is... my roommate is a natural and some of my family members were and are naturals, but it was never talked about when i was growing up... i have found that i am able to feel peoples emotions and people are able to feel mine, but its only people that i deeply care about or that im close to. i want to learn more about this ability. my mom and brother were and are the same way and my uncle was and is a healer. i need to know how to use my abilities or if i actually have abilities and if i do i would like to learn more about them and their purpose and my purpose for having them....

Sounds to me like you may be empathic. The trick with this is deciphering what emoptions are yours and what belong to someone else, and then screening out the ones that hurt or make you miserable.

We are all born with talents, so in a sense we are all "naturals". It depends on wether you use your talents or not. New abilities can be learned and cultivated too. So never let anyone tell you that you can't do something because you weren't born with that ability.
We can learn anything we set our minds too.

get out of the mind and into the spirit, for it is the voices and emotions which are key.

Pay attention to your emotions and what is going on around you. If you were happy and then suddenly became sad for no reason, that is a big clue that it isn't your saddness.

You will have to learn how to shield yourself, but you don't want to shield to hard. My Beloved likens it to the shields on a starship ( like in Star Trek). They let in the information and energy needed to navigate, and at the same time keep out anything that might be harmful to the crew or the ship. They can also be fine tuned so that you can keep an "eye" on someone without letting it effect your emotional state.

As for your sisters dreams... I bet that freaks her out from time to time. It can be very difficult. You have to just ride out the Deja-vu and keep going.

BTW: I kept this here because you never know who else this might help. Most probably don't want to bring it up because they are convinced that they are "going crazy", or are defective in some way.
