THIS IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY RELATED TO MY PATH BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS READ SIMON NECRONOMICON'S BOOK OF THE DEAD. ALSO, IF ANYBODY WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THEIR THOUGHTS ABOUT IT AND DO YOU BELIEVE IT IS TRUTH OR FICTION.
I ALSO HOPE THAT I DIDN'T STIR UP A HORNET'S NEST LIKE I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO LATELY.

I have not read the "Simon" Necronomicon, but I have read some of Lovecrafts work. He is the originator of the Necronomicon, and he claimed it to be completely fiction. The name came to him in a "dream". I don't think he ever published a copy of it, just alluded to it in his fiction.

The difficulty here is belief. Does belief in something make it real? There are thousands out there who believe wholeheartedly in the book, and when confronted by them I have to keep myself from snickering. While for me it is a nice piece of fiction they believe that Lovecraft found this old book and had encounters with Cuthulu and the like. They can't be pursuaded otherwise, they are convinced it is real.

So what is the defining quality of reality?

GOOD QUESTION, APRIL. MAYBE THAT NEEDS FUTHER EXPLORATION.
ALSO I HAVE READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE BOOK IS WRITTEN IN CODE AND TRUE BUT ONLY CRAFTERS W/ A LOT OF EXPIERENCE WOULD BE ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT. HOPEFULLY OTHERS ON THIS SITE WILL RESPOND. I FIND IT A DAMN SHAME THAT THERE ARE OVER 8000 REGISTERED MEMBERS ON THIS SITE AND VERY FEW WILL PARTICIPATE.

ok here is my take

i have read both the paperback version and also had a copy of a book called the necronomicon that was bound in human flesh with both the greek writing and the english translation both hand written

when you say book of the dead i think egyptian and that one i have read also altho the copy of the egyptian book of the dead i had was by wallace budge
and his translations are off a bit

as for the mordern nec it differed greatly from the flesh bound one i read tho yes it was heavy in the summarian tradition or atleas in naming some of their deitys

but the paper bound book also binds you to failure
for one it tells you the things in the book once summoned can not be bannished

not true
and if you actually understand what you are reading and are able to pick out the few grains of truth in it from all the fluff shit
you realize you summon the one set of the deitys to get rid of the others
for instance you could call upon marduk to banish tiamat ect

yes the paper bound book is mostly a work of fiction but it has just enough of the truth hidden in it for anyone who is marginally gifted to totally screw themselves

as for anything else i feel if you believe enough you can make anything work
after all the magic actually focuses on your intent not the actual words or names you use

tho this can be wrong too when your talking about harmonics
and etherial vibrations
