Whoa! Hate is an individual thing. You can't judge any group by the vocalisations or actions of some of it's more ignorant members. Otherwise we witches are all just a bunch of airy fairy white lighters that can't think their way out of a paper sack, unless we saw the answer to our problems on an episode of "Charmed".
Generalisations and misjudments are what got people burned at the stake. Let's not get caught in that trap.

How about instead of focusing on doing away with "hate" groups, we start casting spells to increase understanding and compassion amoung those around us, stating with us. After all if you want to change the world you have to start in your own heart first.

OK, NOW I GOT YA'.

Well.......I am a Baptist married to a Catholic .
So I got two of those 'groups ' to contend with and I like listening to Rush .
Hate is personal .Just as love is personal .
Not all in those groups hate or want to hate .
There are those that speak louder than others and spew hate .
Some get caught up in it because it is like a web that just keeps growing and adding spiders .
All my life I was taught to believe their is a higher power .God and that God would protect me from all evil and only show me love .All I had to do was pray and believe .
Does not always work that way but I was and am a believer that Evil ,hate ,all things negative can be overcome .
Maybe not in this life or the next but it will come to pass .
there is hate everywhere for anyone that is different .Color ,shape of eyes or body .
Even in witches and warlocks ,there are good and evil .But i do not group them together and say they are bad as a whole .And I can see why sometimes they lash out against the injustice of it all .
I can see where any minority feels threatened ,but yet the majority do not hate as a rule ,it is the ones that cannot understand there is another way or that want to share all ways .
So ,we learn ,we talk ,we share and in some way we make a path for others to see that no Religion or Belief has the monopoly on good and bad ,right or wrong .
The more we are open about ourselves ,the more we help others to understand .
I have not cast a spell yet as I am new and trying to find my path ,my way .
So I want to learn .
The way I do that is to listen with open ears and heart and mind .
No one can ever make all people of all races and all manner of being understand and accept any one Religion or Faith .And that pertains to any Belief or we would all look the same ,talk the same ,walk the same ,act the same ...
How boring a world we would live in .And we then would have no reasons to talk on a forum or cast a spell or pray a prayer .
I choose to accept me the way I am ,you the way you are and all others in whatever manner they are willing for me to accept .
I hope I am not stepping into something I should not .Forgive my intrusion if you feel I am .
I just have an opinion and would very much like to share ...

you are caught up in one of my biggest pet peeves. Christians hating Christians. Followers of the same God who just can't seem to allow that others need to come to that God in their way. Then they wonder why the rest of us get so angry with them.

I am not caught in it April ,I understand it .
because of me being a seer to a degree ,I have been called witch more than a few times .
Some in my family believe strongly I am one .
It does not matter to me anymore what others think ,I just have to find my path and walk my road in this life .
But I do it with open eyes and I see so much wrong in both Religion and non religious people that I seem to need (if that is the right word ) to say how I feel and what I feel .
When I was young I hid my talents ,pushed theem to the back ,I was afraid of what others would say or even do to me ,but now that I am older and wiser I suppose in some ways ,I know the talents are there for a reason and so I am trying to find that reason .
My family was comprised of many religions not just Baptist ,so I am very use to arguments and who is right and wrong .
Non are to say true ,I know .I have seen the other side .My mother is there and she is not happy ,I believe allot has to do with she thought and believed where she was going was not where she is .
I thank you all for the welcome .I do need to learn and to talk and to find my path and all wisdom and help I can get I will very much be grateful for ..
I am happy that I can contribute to something that leads me to learn .
