Counting On Numbers

Numbers are an essential aspect of existence. They are a language unto themselves which is older than spoken language and have been shown to at least represent if not formulate everything in the universe. Numbers helped create the first languages and most of them had specific numerological values placed upon the letters that comprised them. Numbers can be used for simple mathematical counting all the way up to the most complex equations of physics.

As early as the sixth century B.C.E. the Greek mystic and mathematician, Pythagoras, had discovered a set of 'universal principles' within numbers. He was the first scientist to realize that 'The whole world is built upon the power of numbers'. It was through his studies on this universal constant that the system of Numerology was developed utilizing the basic 1 through 9 inclusively that is still used to connect us with the vibrational patterns these symbols are used as to express their occult connections.

There have been quite a few formula developed to aid in reducing larger figures into their primary numerical form and vibrational expression. The simplest of these is the system by which a number's components are separated into individual units and added together until they produce a single unit which is considered the primary vibration. As example: 529=5+2+9=16=1+6=7 or 4392=4+3+9+2=18=1+8=9.

It is an interesting synchronicity that the very string of the primary numbers, 123=1+2+3=6, 456=4+5+6=15=1+5=6 and 789=7+8+9=24=2+4=6 all equal 6 as a primary influence. Although it is not so potentially frightening, except to Christians, since Pythagoras ascribed the vibrations of the number 6 as the number of dependability in harmony with nature. A perfect number which, being divisible by both an even number (2) and an odd number (3) combined the basic elements of each.

The Pythagorian system also ascribes the importance of certain higher numbers, specifically the doubling of the nine primary numbers, 11, 22, 33 etceteras up to 99. These 'Master' numbers, when appearing, act as modifiers and create a greater vibrational influence on the properties of their ultimate single digit reductions.

These systems have been created to aid in converting such individually important items as names and dates into the numerological formula to discover the subtle influences these numbers have on a person's life and personality. By using numerology to determine the significant aspects of the days you will discover a cyclical pattern. This compliments the fact that all of nature and the universe exist in cycles.

Utilizing Numerology and its system of converting names to numbers and following this formula can give a general idea of the type of personality traits can most easily form within the individual. Numerology includes within this use of numbers a way of determining not only how a person's life begins but in the case of a name changing. Whether through marriage conventions or by assuming a new name for magical or other reasons Numerology can help determine how that person's inherent destiny can change with the evolution of their life.

Along with the 'Name Number' of an individual, the date of their birth can be determined Numerological as an added indicator and modifier of a person's most likely direction of personality and fate. These several influences added together can give insights for what is originally destined to be as well as information on how one may divert their path towards more desirable attributes.

There are several more esoteric formulae which utilizes specific types of letters within your name to seek even more information about how your universal numbers will affect you. As a system for understanding motivations, it is an excellent area of study to increase your knowledge of how the unseen forces of nature can shape and direct the individual's course through their life.
