When we were born and the name we were born with can readily determine what we may become in the future. This practice of analyzing the meaning behind numbers normally through a person’s fate birth date and birth name is called Numerology. Among the practices in occult arts, Numerology is the easiest to understand and use.
In occult numerology, there are 11 recognized numbers used in constructing a Numerology chart. Each letter from the alphabet is grouped into these master numbers. These “core” numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 22. These numbers hold different characteristics and expressions in Numerology.
To get started, you need to add the numbers assigned to each letter of your full birth name – usually the name written on your birth certificate. Any sum that amounts to a large number are reduced by adding the digits together until the sum is one of the core numbers. The goal is to achieve a single digit number, with the exception of 11 and 22 often called “master numbers’, that is included in the core numbers. So if you ended up with 47 just add the number 4 and the number 7 which will add up to 11 – one of the core numbers.
The core number that you ended up, when adding the values of your name, is called Birth Name Number while Birth Path Number is the sum of your month, day and year of birth. With your birth name and birth path numbers you can determine a person’s talents, strengths, and areas of concerns to name a few. However, it is not the end ones you determine your birth name and birth path numbers.
Through Numerology, you can also determine your Challenger Number, Life Path, Hidden Passion, Heart Desire or Soul Urge. In occult numerology, there is also the Subconscious and Balance Numbers as well as the numbers to determine your inner dreams and karmic lessons.
